So very grateful!

So very cool to assist a new associate, over the phone, while out under the stars & orange moon. As I enjoy a cool breeze gently flowing around me, I know this other person's life is changing, as I am able to offer a whole new world of possibilities!

Because of my sternum & chest hurting for a few day, I didn't wear the breast forms - initial cancer 18 years ago -had bilateral mastectomy no reconstruction. I believe I will go with out them, now, most of the time- especially seeing the breast augmentations women r doing, that will give them cancer. Why do we feel we r not good enough, just as we r? I don't feel right wearing them anymore - still self conscious, but I get through it :-)
(would not have had the bilateral mastectomy, if I would have known what I know now)

Mt Shasta Activities next weekend

Hope had a great night & wonderful sleep :-) I took "Life 5" - High Potency Probiotic from Young Living- for the 1st time last night & my whole body calmed down & was so happy I started it. It made my stomach & the rest of my body feel calm & full of love It reminded me of when I started Microcosmic Science courses (has many Ayurvedic principles & more) & the 1st cooking class, where we applied, what we were learning, to the food & that night, after eating that food, I felt the same way - actually felt like my stomach was being massaged & loved - awesome experience.

I was just blessed with making the most wonderful, satisfying & delicious rice dish, that I am so grateful to be able to share with you! :-) I thank God, for every good & wonderful thing! ;-) (especially the butterflies, that flew around me, while I ate ;-)

Just a warning, I don't measure things, so you'll have a fun time creating your own, even if you follow my recipe - I know it will be perfect & enjoy tweaking it to your liking :-)

I started off with some brown rice I made, yesterday, that I had added lots of cinnamon, pinch of sea salt & just enough Coconut Nectar flavored beverage (by R.W Knudsen) to give it a nice taste.

Today I took the rice & added a package of "Fresh spicy ArtiHearts - Buffalo style" by Monterey Farms (does contain wheat & soy) http://www.montereyfarmsartichokes.com/products.htm
added a little water,(enough to cover bottom of pan to 1/2 inch) put the lid on pan, turned burner on high, until I heard it boil, then turned off & let it set (stirred after a few minutes)

Had a large pot ready, washed & cut a bunch of red chard (you could use any kind of chard or spinach etc.)

In the pot I put some toasted sesame oil & sunflower oil, added the chopped chard & some rice vinegar (could use apple cider vinegar) and Bragg's Liquid Aminos (could use some Tamari)- turned burner on high & covered pot. Stirred frequently, as it steamed to perfection, then removed from burner.

I added the rice combination & stirred it all together.

Then took a few carrots, chopped, put in a pan with a about 1/2 inch water, covered, put on high, let boil for approximately 4 minutes, turned off & let it set until carrots at desired tenderness.

then add carrots with any remaining water, to rice & chard mixture :-)

stir and add seasoning to taste (I didn't have to add anything - If anything, I would have added nutritional yeast) :-)

On my plate a started with a layer of Mung Bean Sprouts, then the rice dish & topped off with some fresh cilantro & gomasio (not pictured)

It was so wonderful! My son ate 4 bowls of it, one right after the other - all filled to the top..there only about a serving left :-)

wasp sting update - 3 days later :-)

when asked about the wasp sting..much better, thank you :-) been using Traumeel http://www.traumeel.com/Traumeel_com_Home.homotox wath the video -explains so much in very short video. I have the ointment- have used the gel before, love both. They also make a sublingual pill, which my dentist has on hand, for swelling, inflammation & pain relief :-) SInce I didn't have that, I used some homeopathic arnica pills I had http://www.boironusa.com/products.aspx?prodid=53 ...out of those now :-)

What's ur favorite time of day?

My favorite time is in the morning, when I wake up early, unassisted by an alarm clock & enjoying the sunrise, feeling all the wonderful possibilities for that day :-) Then, looking out the kitchen window at all the cool things happening outside, & having the opportunity to sit on the deck and enjoy it all :-)

My friend, who lives on a farm, swears by this product, says it's worked for them for 20 years at a time. (the site says 10 years, but she's around my age & has seen it last for 20 years at a time. Subdivision neighborhood cul-de-sac, etc could get together & share a big box of it, since it covers a great deal of land :-)

Quick & Easy Vegan Jello :-)

To make vegan Jello, w Agar Agar, is SOOOO quick & easy! I go to the health food area at Kroger & get whichever organic juice is on sale; this time it was 32oz of Black Current Nectar by R.W. Knudsen 100% juice, no sugar added - was $1.82.
Put contents into saucepan & and 4 tablespoons of Agar Agar flakes, whisk & bring to a boil.
Let simmer boil for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Meanwhile have ready 2 Pyrex pie pans, or any Pyrex pan & add blueberries (1pint each dish).
When juice & agar agar are finished boiling add half to one pie pan & the other half, the other.
Let set until cool & then refrigerate, covered with some saran wrap :-)
(sometimes it's gelled enough to eat before u put it in the fringe)
Awesome treat, anytime of year, but especially summer :-)
I've also made it with apple juice, from same company & instead of blueberries, added a grated carrots (enough to cover bottom of each pan. - really refreshing! Experiment with different pure juices and whatever fruit u enjoy!!! (Thank you Suzi Ambar-Worrell, for teach us so many delectable macro-biotic dishes!!!)

It's so cool when butterflies fly around u - it's like u can feel the joy they have for being transformed from a caterpillar to their happy & much freer state,~ transformation into a completely different being :-)

I like roasting marshmallows, over an open fire, burning the outer layer, eating that, then "browning" the inside & enjoying that :-) (when we were kids we'd do it over the eye of the electric stove, on High - disclaimer - I do not recommend this, just sharing a childhood experience ;-)

Straining Green Giant asparagus (smells like tuna fish) & watching the birds & damselflies outside. as they enjoy the seed, butterfly bushes & pond :-) I enjoyed talking w one of my fb friends, today :-) Hope ur enjoying ur day! <3

Yay!!! So grateful I had some organic, Valencia oranges! Juiced them & now drying some of the peel for a Cough Cold Runny Nose remedy for Christopher & used the juice for a remedy for me, adding Blackstrap molasses, to the juice..a a bit left for Christopher to drink :-) The r so beautiful, bright & sunny, when cut in half - reminded me of childhood in Vero Beach :-)

Remembering when my friend Marjay & I were at the crematorium, 3 days after Joshua passed on, & seeing his body, before it was cremated. When I stroked his hair it was such a shock because his face was cold. It reminds me that our bodies (these garments we wear while here) r important to take care of, respect & listen too, without becoming obsessed with making them look like what we r made to believe others will find appealing. & to what expense - financially, psychologically & the physical damage that is done, over time?

Just heard one of the kids say "I don't want to play this anymore!" Q for many of us: When did we forget we could do that? In many areas in life we seem to get so wrapped up in things that do not serve us for our higher good, because we feel we r supposed to keep doing whatever it is, for whatever reason. Let's choose" not to play" whatever is hurtful, or just doest"t feel right anymore :-)

Yesterday, I went in for bones scan, & was grateful to find they were using a scanner that could do a CT Scan (looked like a modified CT Scan machine), Bone Scan & PET Scan which took only a fraction of the time it usually takes & with one machine, instead of 3. They also injected a stronger Isotope (to make me glow for the machines) & I only had to wait one hour after the injection, instead of 3 & it was supposed to leave the body quicker. The people who work there really took care of me - you could tell they like their jobs and genuinely care about the people they inject and scan :-)

When it was time for the scanning, I had to lay on my back, place my head in a special device to keep it steady & put my hands at my sides & they strapped me in, because the table area lifted to go into the scanner & if the straps wouldn't have been around me, my arms would have been hanging down & meeting the machine, in a not to pleasant or safe way, because that part of the table wasn't there anymore.

As I started to enter, the opening seems smaller than a CT scanner & at first, I couldn't tell if it was going to be like a cave & my whole body would be in a small confined space, or as turned out, it seemed just a little longer thank a CT Scanner, so I only had a short distance to make it through each time. When I first when in it made a loud noise that reminded of a sound I heard on the movie Contact (with Jodie Foster), so to calm down I had my eyes closed & thought about being out in space, playing amongst the stars. When I was there in my mind, I thought of my son, Joshua, being there too (for anyone new to my blog, Joshua is my 16 year old son, who passed on September 18, 2008, after 3 years with bone cancer & a recurrence) So I was able to escape the machine & any fears I had about it , & play with my son around the stars :-)

As I was going back and forth - when my head was on the other side of the machine I saw that some times it the letters "CT" were highlighted & other times the letters PET were, so I knew that I was getting more that just a bone scan. Very cool :-)

I got to see the radiologist report, today (still haven't seen the doctor's notes) Some of the radiologist findings included that the seeming cancer in the sternum seems to be a bit bigger than in September & what seems to be cancer in the T-9 vertebrae, in September, seems now go from the T9 to the T12 vertebrae. There was something about my knees, but nothing cancerous there.

I will write more tomorrow, but wanted to get this out :-) I plan on writing about chronic pain and similar situations, where we really have to remember to communicate to others about what we need or how we feel & not just expect them to know about what's going on.

bone scan, for me, manana - injection @ 11:45 & scan 2-3 hours later for 20-45 minutes..thinking about the Gilds' fund-raiser this Saturday & that Sunday (April 25th) Joshua would have been 18...So grateful for the 16 years I had w him & all the time I have with Christopher - I am so grateful :-)

taking a break form taxes, warming up soup & remembering when the kids were young & I'd make a big pot of soup. After a few days of it, they'd be ready for something else, so I'd put toast at the bottom of the soup bowl & add soup & called it "Soup Toast" & they'd love it a couple more days :-)

Greek Yogurt :-)

Today I am enjoying the Greek yogurt FAGE (proniunced Fa-yeh). It's known as the authentic Greek yogurt that is ridiculously thick and awesomely delicious. I got the peach one & it is such a treat & is supposed to be the best kind of yogurt to eat (Greek) there s another one -Oikos Greek Yogurt is 100% organic yogurt, with 0% fat and both are very low in sugar.

I had breast cancer 18 years ago & had bilateral mastectomy. right before surgery saw show where woman had saline implants & because of the bodies regular 98.6 degree temp, it had made the saline so toxic, one of the implants could kill 20 people. Needless to say, I did not get the reconstruction & have been so grateful ever since.
